Located on Route 330, 15 minutes from Gander. Our campground is a 250 acre natural environment campground. Campsites are nestled among beautiful white birch trees. It is the perfect place for a vacation. We are in an ideal location for tourist visiting central Newfoundland who wish to experience our culture, partake in event functions or just visit historical sites such as the Aircraft Museum,  Barbour House, see Icebergs off Twillingate, as well as enjoying access to all the Town of Gander has to offer.

All rates are for up to 4 people per site or 1 Camper/Tent per site

Deposit of 1 night or a credit card is required for reservation

Site Selection Policy:

Site Selection Policy: Please note that when placing a reservation we cannot guarantee a specific site number. We like to give current guests the opportunity to renew before new guests arrive. If you have a reservation, you are guaranteed a suitable spot with the services you were promised. We just won't know where the spot is until your arrival. Current guests will not be allowed to renew if there is nowhere else that is suitable for arrivals who have pre-booked. Most of the time we do have number of spots open when people check-in and, if so , you'll be permitted to see all of them and choose your own site.

Rules and regulations

Jonathan's Pond Campground hopes your stay is an enjoyable one. To help ensure that your experience is pleasant, we've put in place the following rules for all guests to abide by. Park staff will be on duty during the season to ensure these rules are followed, and we ask for your cooperation in our efforts to provide the most pleasant atmosphere possible. 


Quiet Time - 11:00PM

The quiet time policy is in place to be fair to all guests and is strictly enforced. Noise after this time must not leave the campsite. Vehicles should only be used for emergency purposes as motor noise can disturb sleeping guests.

Any disregard of the part policy could result in immediate expulsion


Visitor Rules

Park guests are permitted to have visitors, under the following restrictions:

  • All visitors must leave park by 9:30PM
  • Upon arrival, all visitors must register at the main office.
  • Guests are responsible for their visitors' actions. Guests may face expulsion based solely on their visitors' actions.
  • Campground facilities, including the beach, are off limits to visitors unless day passes are purchased.


Vehicle Speed Limit - 10KM/HR

For safety reasons, the speed limit while in the campground is 10 km per hour.


Child Safety

Parents are responsible for safety of their children at all times while in the park.

Proper Conduct

Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a family friendly manner, profane language and actions will not be tolerated.


Campfire Policy

Use only fire pits/stoves where provided. Please do not burn garbage as it creates odors and pollution.

Signs will be posted for campfire bans.


Alcohol, Tobacco, & Cannabis

Use of alcoholic beverages must be confined to the user's site. This is in accordance with Newfoundland law, violators could face fines. It is illegal for anyone under the age of 19 to consume alcohol in the province of Newfoundland.


All park buildings, including restrooms, are non-smoking. Violators may be fined. Guests must dispose of smoking materials properly.


Please be considerate of other guests when smoking or vaping cannabis - if you choose to consume cannabis, we expect you to be discrete. Take appropriate steps to avoid offending others with odors and fumes.


Pets Policy

Pets must be kept on a leash and must not be left unattended. Guests are responsible for the clean up and noise control of their pets.


Swimming Area

Swimming area is unsupervised.

Children under 12 must have adult supervision while in the swimming area.

Swim at your own risk.



Jonathan's Pond Campground reserves the right to evict, without prior notice, anyone who, in its own judgement, creates a disturbance, is intentionally a nuisance, or deliberately breaks any of the above rules. No refunds will be given in such event.
